  This stretch of Yellow River in Wisconsin is 8 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. There are no other sections to paddle along Yellow River than the Gilman to Mattes Bridge section. The campgrounds here at Yellow River are pretty good. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations
    in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions
for lots of people.

Summertime highs at Yellow River regularly tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Yellow River fall into the 0's.
