This stretch of Bluegrass Creek in Wyoming is 20 miles long and has been rated as a class II-V+ section by American Whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The natural beauty of Wyoming and the playfulness of the water     are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful Laramie Mountains scenery is an added bonus. There are no other sections to paddle along Bluegrass Creek than the Tunnel outlet to Highway 34 section. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: Summer at Bluegrass Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's,   and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Bluegrass Creek temperatures descend to the 10's. Bluegrass Creek gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February.
