Wyoming whitewater - Boulder Creek, Wind River Range, Sublette County Sublette county, Boulder Basin Road to WY352 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.     The natural beauty of Sublette County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The Boulder Basin Road to WY352 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a     room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Wind River Range is a great experience. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wyoming you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Briefly about the general area: Boulder Creek gets very little rainfall; most of the snow falls all through January, and July is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. At Boulder Creek through the long summer days highs are in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally   in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Boulder Creek tend to be in the-10's. There is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Boulder Creek called the Pot Creek Trail, and nearby you find the Boulder Basin Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
