  The natural beauty of Sublette County and the water flowing gracefully down Boulder Creek attract people from near and far. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. The river winds through the Wind River Range and you get great scenery. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking
    here in Wyoming are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Boulder Basin Road to WY352 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get
to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
Hiking along the Pot Creek Trail is nice fun, and going for a hike along the Boulder Basin Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Around Boulder Creek you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July.

to do in the Wind River Range. Throughout the days of summer here at Boulder Creek, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 30's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Boulder Creek are in the-10's.
