The Lower stretch of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in Wyoming is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from
the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The wild scenery of the Absaroka Range is great. The Lower section is one of many paddling sections in this river
system. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
