This section of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in Wyoming is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wyoming is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The Lower stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater paddling here in the Absaroka Range is a great experience. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll
have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The scenic beauty of Wyoming and
the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
