This stretch of Clear Creek in Wyoming is 4.2 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Johnson County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Wyoming are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length |

Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Clear Creek. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while Clear Creek night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. It is very dried out here at Clear Creek generally; most of the rain falls throughout May; February on the other hand is the driest.
