  The starting location is a short drive from Jackson, as you can see on the road map further down. The North and South Branch confluence to US26 section is the only paddling section along Ditch Creek. Whitewater paddling here in the Wind River Range is a great experience. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. The campgrounds here at Ditch Creek are pretty good. The natural beauty of Teton County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and
    far. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations
you might end up sleeping in your car. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wyoming are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.

Briefly about the general area:
Through the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Ditch Creek, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while Ditch Creek nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the-10's.
Around Ditch Creek you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the snow is January while July is commonly the driest month.
