Wyoming whitewater - Ditch Creek, Wind River Range, Teton County Teton county, North and South Branch confluence to US26 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.     The beautiful scenery of Wyoming and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. The average Wyoming whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The Wind River Range scenery is wonderful. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't     find many other paddling places. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Ditch Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the North and South Branch confluence to US26 section is the only one. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The put-in is not too far from Jackson, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: Summer at Ditch Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Ditch Creek dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
