Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The river winds through the Wind River Range and you get great scenery. This is the only paddling stretch along Ditch Creek. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon     trip. The wonderful Wyoming scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. There's camping available near Ditch Creek. Briefly about the general area: It is very dehydrated here at Ditch Creek commonly; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is July. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Ditch Creek. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's.
