The nature scenery of Wyoming and the water flowing gracefully down Green River attract people from near and far. The Green River Lakes to Tepee Creek section of Green River in Wyoming is 12 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. This is the only paddling section along Green River. When you're paddling down a Wind River Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very
popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Wyoming are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot
of people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that.

down into the-10's through winter nights. Green River is a location that is rather dried out mostly; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
