  This section of Greybull River is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Park County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. This stretch is mid length,
    it's good length for a morning trip. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are no other stretches to paddle along Greybull River than the Venus Creek to Forest Service boundary stretch. Whitewater paddling here in the Absaroka Range is a great experience.
The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.

At Greybull River throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; night lows at Greybull River all through the wintertime usually drop into the 10's. Greybull River is
 
pretty waterless ordinarily; most of the rain falls during May, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
On a delightful day at Greybull River you can take a hike along the Zig-Zag Trail, and the Haymaker Timber Creek Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range.
