The natural beauty of Lincoln County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wyoming is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent     or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section of Greys River in Wyoming is 6 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along Greys River than the Little Greys River to Highway bridge section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Briefly about the general area: Greys River gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is July. A pleasant place to stop by near Greys River is Squaw Fork Canyon. All through the months of summer,   highs commonly are in the 80's at Greys River. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Greys River tend to be in the 10's.
