Wyoming whitewater - Pole Creek, Sublette County

Sublette county, Half Moon Lake to right off of Fayette Pole Creek Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

The scenic beauty of Sublette County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Pole Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Half Moon Lake to right off of
Fayette Pole Creek Road stretch is the only one. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You might have to settle for a
hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

waterless here at Pole Creek mostly; most of the rain falls all through May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
