Wyoming whitewater - Pole Creek, Sublette County Sublette county, Half Moon Lake to right off of Fayette Pole Creek Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.     The scenic beauty of Wyoming and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Pole Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Half Moon Lake to right off of Fayette Pole Creek Road stretch is the only one. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might     be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other places for that. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Pole Creek regularly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Pole Creek. At Pole Creek you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while February is regularly the driest month.
