The Hazelton Road to Mayoworth Road stretch of Powder River - North Fork is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. The natural beauty of Wyoming and the water flowing gracefully down Powder River - North Fork are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is wonderful. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average,
so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance
you're all set. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Hazelton Road to Mayoworth Road stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system.
