The East Fork Creek to Trailhead stretch of Shoshone River - South Fork in Wyoming is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Wyoming and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not
pack your sleeping bag too. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the
East Fork Creek to Trailhead section is one of them. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Whitewater paddling here in the Absaroka Range is a great experience.
