Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river     if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beautiful Absaroka Range scenery is an added bonus. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots.
