  The East Fork Creek to Trailhead section of Shoshone River - South Fork in Wyoming is 13 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Park County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The starting point is not too far from Jackson, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you hurry you can run this stretch
    in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. A good workout and
just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The wild scenery of the Absaroka Range is great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wyoming is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. There are a few other stretches in this
