CLASS III-V 20 miles
This stretch of Yellowstone River is 20 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Wyoming and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Absaroka Range is a great experience. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater
rafting and kayaking spots in Wyoming are harder than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The Tower Jct. to Gardiner stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. No matter if you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
