The nature scenery of Colorado and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. |
You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. If you're coming from Edwards it's not a long drive at all to
| the put-in location. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Park Range scenery is wonderful.

close by. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Park Range. Take a hike on the Sheep Drive Trail It's always good to pop by Dry Gulch Spring. This river is so wonderful. Colorado River RUNS is mostly a rather dehydrated
place. For the duration of July this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. During the summer here at Colorado River RUNS, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. When the night sets in
temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Colorado River RUNS throughout the winter commonly fall into the 0's.
