If you're coming from Tahlequah it's not a long drive at all to the starting location. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oklahoma is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. The Ozarks scenery is wonderful. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful scenery of Cherokee County and
    the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both,
doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
