Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you
want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful scenery of Utah and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Getting
your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Farmington. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that.

Briefly about the general area:
You simply ought to stop by Sunbonnet Rock while you're here at Wild River Expeditions. Take a hike

on the Trail of the Ancients; some exciting geology is available here, Navajo Twins is right here. This is such a great river. Hiking along the Emigrant Trail is good fun, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Bluff here. A visit to Calf Canyon is always fun. Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 90's at Wild River Expeditions, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, typically in the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Wild River Expeditions dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Wild River Expeditions is pretty dehydrated usually.
