The starting location is a short drive from Talladega-Sylacauga, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You |
can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled
| as well. This is a very short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The nature scenery of Alabama and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Lodging is available near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
