This section of Tallapoosa River in Elmore Tallapoosa County is 1.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater. You might be into |
whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. The average Alabama whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other
| states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more.
