  This stretch of Warrior River - Blackburn Fork in Blount County is 4.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III(V) section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Blount County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that the
    rivers in this state are less manageable. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Cullman, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and
some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Dirt Road off Route 15 to Route 1 stretch is just one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve  
in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

While you're here at Warrior River - Blackburn Fork you will meet lots of folks from close by Locust Fork, and Pine Bluff is something you shouldn't miss since you're here.
