  The starting point is not too far from Cullman, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Warrior River - Calvert Prong of the Locust Fork is 2.2 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.
    Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The wonderful Alabama scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. There
aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
