The starting point is not too far from Anchorage, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Alaska scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Whether you're whitewater

the least amount of precipitation. All through the warm days of summer at Canyon Creek temperatures are commonly in the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs all
through the winter are in the 10's with temperatures at Canyon Creek dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
