  If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Alaska you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The natural beauty of Valdez-Cordova (CA) Borough and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area
    with plenty of rivers for that. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Gravel bar to Chitina River section of Chakina River in Alaska is 20 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater
according to American Whitewater. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Gravel bar to Chitina River section is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too.
