  The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Alaska and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many
    other paddling rivers. Whitewater paddling here in the Alaska Range is a great experience. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Chistochina Glacier to Copper River stretch of Chistochina
River in -blank- Borough is 52 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Chistochina Glacier to Copper River section is one of them. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then  
no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.

Briefly about the general area:
It is very dried up here at Chistochina River ordinarily. July is the wettest month with most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Chistochina River. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 0's with temperatures at Chistochina River dipping down into the-20's during winter nights.
