This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the-10's; night lows through the winter for Chitistone River tend to be in the-30's. Not much rainfall falls here at Chitistone River. The month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and March is when it's the driest.
