CLASS II-IV     14 miles
  The wonderful Alaska scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch of Delta River in Alaska is 14 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then
    no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Suzy Q Creek to Donnelly Creek Campground section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. For all you camping people
there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Alaska Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. If you hurry you can run this stretch  
in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff.

Briefly about the general area:
During the summer months at Delta River temperatures are regularly in the 60's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 0's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Delta River descend into the-20's. At Delta River you don’t see much rain. July is the month that gets the most rain, and March is the month with the least moisture.
