The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Briefly about the general area: Alpenglow At Arctic Valley has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff, and the smiling people of Eagle River like to hang out
close by. There are tremendous places to discover along the Bird Creek Trail. Eagle River is pretty dry ordinarily. For the period of the month of September you get the most rain around here, and April is when it's the driest.
For the duration of the long summer days here at Eagle River, high temperatures mostly get into the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
