A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the McCarthy Road stretch is one of them. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater paddling here in the Wrangell Mountains is a great experience.
