Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alaska is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The wonderful City & Borough of Juneau Borough scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Juneau, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. |

Briefly about the general area: Why not take a refreshing hike along the Moller Ski Trail, and Gold Creek is not far at all from Douglas. Ebner Falls is an inspiring spot to stop by
during your stay, and if you're here why not go to Gold Creek Valley. This is a really good river. Eaglecrest is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and beaches are great and Young Beach is no exception. The Mount
Roberts Trail offers hiking at its best, and Ready Bullion Beach is a beach nearby that you can go to. This site is unbeatable, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do close to Gold Creek.
