The Upper Canyon to coast stretch of Mineral Creek is 5.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II+ section by American Whitewater. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mineral Creek fall into the 10's.
