This stretch of Tatshenshini River is 136 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Yukon/BC/Yakutat Borough and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The campgrounds here at     Tatshenshini River are pretty good. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This is the only paddling stretch along Tatshenshini River. Briefly about the general area: Here at Tatshenshini River there are plenty of folks from Yakutat, and if you want to hit the beach, Logan Beach is around here. Much rain falls at Tatshenshini River. October is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. During the   summertime at Tatshenshini River highs are commonly in the 50's, and the night is quite cooler of course, usually in the 40's.
