  The scenic beauty of Valdez-Cordova Census Area Borough and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alaska tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Tsina River in Alaska is 7.2 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. There's camping available
    near Tsina River. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some
distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Tsina Roadhouse on Richardson Highway to Richardson Highway below Tsina Canyon section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Whitewater paddling here in the Chugach Mountains is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling  
spots.

Briefly about the general area:
Throughout the months of summer at Tsina River highs are commonly in the 60's; the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 0's with temperatures at Tsina River dipping down into the-20's through winter nights. Around Tsina River you don’t get a lot of rain. The wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
