The starting location is a reasonable drive from Prescott, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The wonderful Yavapai County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Verde River attract people from near and far. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. | |

is pretty right next door to Verde River; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Cold Water Trail. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at White Flash Rapid, and of course, A tour to Gospel Hollow is
always fun. This river is so good. While you're here at Verde River you can take a hike along the Towel Creek Trail, and Wet Prong Spring is an inspiring spot to take a look at during your stay.
