The wonderful Yavapai County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Verde River attract people from near and far. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those     in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Beasley Flat to Gap Creek stretch of Verde River in Yavapai County is 7 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.   There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Beasley Flat to Gap Creek section is just one of many. While you're here at Verde River you can take a hike along the Towel Creek Trail, and Wet Prong Spring is an inspiring spot to take a look at during your stay.
