Arizona whitewater, Verde River

Yavapai county, Camp Verde to Beasley Flat section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

The natural beauty of Yavapai County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting point is not too far from Prescott, as you can see on the road map further down. The Camp Verde to Beasley Flat stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside
this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are some good hotels near
the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here.
