The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Hope, as you can see on the road map further down. The Along Highway 369 to Little Missouri below Highway 84 stretch of Blocker Creek in Pike County is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The wonderful Pike County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
| You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Ouachita Mountains and you get great scenery. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day
trip.
Briefly about the general area: There's pleasant hiking along the Kizzia Trail, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Langley here. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Ouachita
Mountains. Daisy State Park is both fine and picturesque, and it's in the vicinity of Blocker Creek, and don't leave Blocker Creek without first going for a hike along the Gap Mountain Trail.
