The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. This is     a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Pruitt to Hasty stretch is just one of many. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This stretch of Buffalo River in Arkansas is 7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before   you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Flatiron Bluff is an attention-grabbing thing to see while you're here at Buffalo River. The Alum Cove National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and you should certainly go to Gray Bluff while here. This is such a wonderful river. The views at Buffalo National River will blow your mind, and a great spot to stop by is Boomer Hollow. Here at Buffalo River there are plenty of folks from Harrison. For the period of the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Buffalo River.
