The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The
wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Arkansas you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are less demanding. The nature scenery of Newton County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of
places for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
At Buffalo River you always meet someone from Hasty, and if you haven’t been to Buffalo National River, you should schedule some time for it since you're here. Yeah, come up here to the Boston Mountains for a good time. Take a hike on the Alum Cove National Recreation Trail; Chimney Rock Bluff is an interesting spot to visit while at Buffalo River. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hideout Trail, and nearby you locate Stillhouse Hollow which is a good place to take a look at.
