The put-in is not too far from Searcy, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the     page. The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Highway 36 to White Oak Bridge section is just one of many. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for   lots of people.
