The starting point is not too far from Texarkana, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of Polk/ Howard County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Whitewater paddling here in the Ouachita Mountains is a great experience. Gap is a fine place to go to in close proximity to Camp/Flat Creek, and you're sure to bump into some cheerful people from Wickes here. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too pleasant to be true.
Cossatot River State Park is both great and picturesque, and it's next to Camp/Flat Creek. The high level of rain makes Camp/Flat Creek a rather wet spot.
