The put-in is not too far from Fort Smith, as you can see on the road map further down. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The beautiful Boston Mountains scenery is an added     bonus. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
