The natural beauty of Arkansas and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Fort Smith it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location,     there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Highway 162 to Cedar Creek section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. This is a   short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.
