There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Harman to Highway 101 section is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will have     you coming back for more. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Ozarks scenery is wonderful. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so better bring your camping gear along. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in   advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Harman to Highway 101 stretch of Crooked Creek is 52 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. Briefly about the general area: Bull Shoals State Park is a tremendous spot to stretch your legs a bit; Standing Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the Ozarks has to offer. Here at Crooked Creek there are plenty of folks from Pyatt. Throughout the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 90's at Crooked Creek. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's.
