The FR 1631C to Robert Hill Road stretch of Gutter Rock Creek is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+ section. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Briefly   about the general area: If you fancy a little side tour, try Ross Hollow, and there are plenty of folks from Paris here. Don't leave Gutter Rock Creek without first going for a hike along the Magazine Hiking Trail. Jug Spring is a pretty place to take a look at while you're at Gutter Rock Creek.
