The put-in is not too far from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. |
If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
| either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This | |
