If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. This stretch of Illinois Bayou - East Fork is 10 miles long and has been     rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The natural beauty of Arkansas and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the FS Road 1301 to Bayou Bluff section is just one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The wild scenery   of the Boston Mountains is great. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Briefly about the general area: Take a hike on the Silver Point Trail, and you have to without doubt explore Pilot Rock during your stay. So many exciting things to do here in the Boston Mountains, too wonderful to be true. You certainly must explore Ozark National Forest since you're here at Illinois Bayou - East Fork. Illinois Bayou - East Fork is right by the Grassy Point Trail, and at Illinois Bayou - East Fork you always meet someone from Hagarville.
