Arkansas whitewater, Mulberry River Franklin county, Highway 23 to Campbell's Cemetery section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-II     10 miles   This stretch of Mulberry River in Franklin County is 10 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the water flowing gracefully down Mulberry River attract people from near and far. The put-in is not too far from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip,     so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great   exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The beautiful Boston Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Briefly about the general area: Big Foot Hollow is a pleasant site to take a look at close to Mulberry River, and Burrell Spring is always fun to check out. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. Bee Rock is a nice place to visit while in the region, and you can go for a hike on the Shores Lake Water Rock Spur. This river is a great place to visit. You'll meet a lot of people from Alix here; don't leave Mulberry River without first going for a hike along the Spy Rock Redding Loop.
