The starting location is a reasonable drive from Mountain Home, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Arkansas you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Briefly about the general area:
The fine people of Fifty Six like to hang out nearby, and a wonderful spot to have a look at close by is Caney Hollow. Man, is there a lot of cool stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. A short visit to Branscum Spring is
always worthwhile. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at North Sylamore Creek reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's.
