The put-in location is a short drive from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This stretch of Richland Creek is 6.2 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV+ section by American Whitewater. The Moore to Richland Creek Campground section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Getting some good exercise |
and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an
| area with plenty of places for that. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay | |

the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: Take a hike on the Hideout Trail; during your trip here you'll meet some people from Tilly for
sure. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Boston Mountains. Hiking along the Pedestal Rocks Trail is delightful fun; as expected, A visit to Rose Hollow is always fun. At this
river you will never have a bad time. Richland Creek gets a lot of water. May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
