The Steel Bridge Road to Lyle Park section of Saline River - North Fork in Arkansas is 5.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t   have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Steel Bridge Road to Lyle Park stretch is one of them. Whitewater paddling here in the Ouachita Mountains is a great experience. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Briefly about the general area: Stillhouse Hollow is a fine location to look at, and there are plenty of folks from Benton here at Saline River - North Fork. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Ouachita Mountains has to offer.
