The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming     back for more. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The put-in location is a short drive from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, as you can see on the road map further down. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Boston Mountains scenery is an added bonus. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A stretch of this length   does require some preparations, so better bring your camping gear along. Briefly about the general area: People from Combs love to come to White River; a tour to Withrow Springs State Park is a pleasant idea. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Boston Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around White River; Spy Rock Redding Loop is a good local trail. A great place to check out in close proximity to White River is Rowe Hollow. White River is a pretty wet place usually with lots of precipitation.
