The nature scenery of Arkansas and the cool fresh water have people coming here. This section of Wolf Bayou is 6.4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater. If you're coming from Batesville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting
| or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: Still Hollow is a great place to stop at nearby, and why not
take a look at Burton Point also if you're here. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Boston Mountains. This is a popular spot for folks from Marcella. Wolf Bayou is a wet place that gets much precipitation.
Through March this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at Wolf Bayou arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
